Benka Lake
Our cabin is located on Benka Lake, which means that during your stay you can enjoy your morning coffee on the deck, jump in a canoe to explore the lake, or watch the wildlife that calls the lake home. Love to fish? Cast a line for arctic char and rainbows (Don’t forget your AK fishing license!). On warm summer days, take a refreshing dip in the lake. The beauty and fun of Alaska is right outside your door and ready to be enjoyed!
Jet Up River
River adventures are a way of life around here! If you are feeling adventurous and whitewater is calling your name, don't miss a jet boat tour. If a slower pace is more your style, a rafting float trip is a great way to see the untouched wilderness of the area.
Take Flight
It's time to hit the skies! Because of Talkeetna's close proximity to Denali, the tallest mountain in North America, you can fly up and around the summit in a little over an hour. Seeing Alaska by flight is an incredible way to take in Alaska's beauty and expansiveness.
Fish On
Can you really experience Alaska without fishing? We don't think so! There is a reason thousands of anglers visit every year to cast their line for reds, silvers, pinks, or Kings. And Talkeetna and its three rivers are sure to deliver a true Alaskan fishing experience.
Enjoy the Nightlife
The word "nightlife" may be a bit strong, but grabbing a drink at the Fairview Inn is a must when you visit. Opened in 1923, the Fairview is the perfect stop to get a bit of history, local flavor, and Northern Exposure right on Main Street. If music is your thing, they have live music and open mic nights to enjoy.

Talkeetna may be a small town, but the flavor is BIG! Grab a slice at Mountain High Pizza Pie (we love the Main Street Gossip and the Greek White), sip local brews at Denali Brewing Company, the second-largest brewing company in AK, or grab a scoop of homemade ice cream at Nagley's. Want to try something unique? Head to Kahilna Birchworks for birch syrup, candy, and sauces.
